App comparison

Alarmy alternatives: what are your options?

Thinking of switching from Alarmy? Here's what to compare if you want grouped alarms, different challenges or a one-time purchase.

What do you want to change?

A quick note: we make BlockWake, so this isn't an independent review. We'll explain where it fits and where you might prefer another option.

What would make you switch? Perhaps it's managing several alarm times together, trying a different challenge or avoiding a recurring payment. Keep that reason in mind as you compare.

Information about other apps was checked against their official pages on September 7, 2026. Features, availability and payment options can change; check the current listing before deciding.

When Alarmy may still fit

Alarmy’s official site emphasizes wake-up missions. Its Android Premium guide describes monthly or yearly subscriptions, additional missions such as walking and squats, and a wake-up check.

If those specific tasks are what you want, compare them directly before moving. Do not assume every challenge app provides the same missions or follow-up checks. BlockWake does not offer a like-for-like replacement for every Alarmy feature.

Two alternatives to consider

BlockWake: grouped routines and a one-time Pro upgrade

BlockWake focuses on creating several alarm times as one reusable sequence. You can review the generated times, customize individual controls and skip the rest of today’s sequence without rebuilding the schedule.

Free includes one sequence of up to five alarms, five standalone alarms, and Math and Hold controls. Pro adds capacity and Maze and Tic-tac-toe challenges through a one-time purchase. It's worth a look if you want grouped alarms without a recurring subscription.

Your phone's clock: for the basics

If you mainly need regular alarm times, first check the clock you already have. Google’s Clock documentation covers repeat days, names, sounds, snooze and on/off controls. Other manufacturers’ clock apps can differ.

If it already does what you need, you may not need another app. Check its features first; grouped sequences and challenges aren't available in every clock.

Check your old alarms when you switch

  1. Recreate one routine in the new app, not every old alarm at once.
  2. Review the times, repeat days, sound and Stop action.
  3. Complete any requested phone setup and test with the screen locked.
  4. Once satisfied, review old alarms to avoid unintended duplicate rings.

Keep a clearly identified backup for an important wake-up while you evaluate the new setup. No app can guarantee delivery if the phone is off or its operation is blocked by the system.
