Wake-up challenges for your alarms

What each challenge asks you to do

• Math (Free): solve a short math problem to complete Stop.
• Hold (Free): keep pressing for five seconds while progress is shown; releasing early resets it.
• Maze (Pro): guide a dot through the maze to its exit.
• Tic-Tac-Toe (Pro): win the game to complete Stop.

The homepage shows illustrations of all four choices. They illustrate the interaction rather than promising that a particular challenge will keep you awake afterward.

Use a challenge on one alarm or a whole routine

In BlockWake, Stop behavior is part of an alarm's wake-up controls. Choose a default when creating a group of alarms, then adjust an individual alarm if one should use a different method. Snooze is a separate control: postponing an alarm is different from completing its Stop challenge.

If you create multiple alarms in an Alarm Set, you can keep the first alarm simple and use a challenge later in the routine. The challenge setup guide gives the step-by-step path for a single alarm and a group.

Start with the least frustrating option

A challenge helps interrupt an automatic tap on Stop. It does not measure alertness or solve a sleep problem. Try your choice during the day, with your phone locked, and make sure you can read the screen and reach the controls. If a game is awkward, a short Hold or Math problem may be easier to live with.

For a broader comparison, read which alarm challenge suits you. If alarms sometimes fail to ring at all, first check Android alarm reliability settings; changing the Stop method will not fix a blocked alarm.

No. Math and Hold are included in Free. Maze and Tic-Tac-Toe require Pro.
